hello everyone!! ok, on monday, i went to the national library with hanwei and xiaodong to study. it was rather ok i thought other than having to put up with no proper place to actually study. and i had something i will never eat again. my dessert, red ruby. it was as good as eating coloured starch pieces. trust me, its no good. studied till the early evening, then we had dinner and i went home first since i had to go home early to attend to some housekeeping matters. so yepp. here are some pictures.

on tuesday, nothing much happened actually. yea, well the thing that got me on my high was of course eating good food with mum. went to hougang mall and settled at a chinese restaurant, very much into china's cuisines. the food was good. i had some fried ramen, mum had chilli beeframen and we ordered two side dishes to go with, namely the xiao long bao and steameddumplings with pork and chives filling.
there! mum and i whacked it cleannn!!
on wednesday i had my english prelim oral examination and i did rather well. which was good to know, cos i was nervous. myenglish HOD was seriously a pain in theass. *roll eyes*. pffft!` anyway i had fun going out with huishan and miss j today. watched shrek3 and took neoprints! yea and we of course, as usual, made a fool of ourselves. haha!! miss j was really funny, he banged his head 3 times in the mrt on our way back. huishan and i couldnt stop laughing. the movie tickets were seriously expensive! it costs $9.50 per person!(bugis) its crazzzyyyy! while queuing, i still joked with miss j that the movie tickets would be nine bucks since its already a bomb compared to the usual of $7.50. didnt expect it to be even more expensive. really. after having done with neoprints and the movie, we were supposed to go to bugis street and look for something the 3 of us could get that was similar, yet not too expensive. the moment i walked into bugis street, i was so obsessed with wanting to shop and in the end we didnt buy anything, instead we window shopped all the way to even OG. now, i put my foot down and wanna save money to get everything that i saw and wanted today! (although my cupboard is already exploding!) LOL!! ohh!!! we also went to the arcade! =x

i tried not to sleep the whole of last night because i know i wouldnt be able to get up in time to go for my compulsory CIP work along kovan by 8 this morning. my plan failed at about 4.30 am when i snoozed off. so yeap! as usual i woke up late! i woke up at 8 am!! i was pissed when i got up and rushed everything. my bath for the first time i think, took only two-three minutes! well, in short, it was just a mess. thank God i got a taxi quick and while on the way, i called bin bin who was with junhong, a constant late comer no matter what the ocassion may be and i was relieved to know i wasnt the only one who was gonna be late. things turned out better than i thought though. my teacher didnt scold me. in fact when i got there, there were quite afew who havent even turned up! anw i got my donation bag and walked to serangoon with junhong and binbin after junhong, who has a terrible sense of direction, told us it was near-by and he knew how to get there by short-cut because he used to live in the vicinity. obviously, it was a long walk thats why kovan and serangoon are two separate mrt stations on the NEL. we actually planned to have breakfast at the serangoon interchange macdonalds and then follow junhong for a game of soccer. but well things didnt quite turn out the way we thought it would. binbin and i did eat at macdonalds while junhong spent his time in the macdonalds toilet making "hotcakes!". hahahahaha! anyway, i took a picture of the staffs at macdonalds when i was queuing to be served. its rather ridiculous, really. i call them, shreks at mac's.
so after breakfast, junhong didnt play soccer where he would have liked to since the others who were for the game, planned to play it somewhere else. binbin and i had no where to go so we thought of accompanying him. then when we were about to make a move, we met huishan, yeejoo, maalissa, olive and miss j. so yepp binbin and i joined them since they were asking for donations and that was our purpose anyway. there were afew people who told us in our faces that we were cheaters and well we faced quite alot of competition and rejections, but well we kept going although we stopped to camwhore and buy drinks.

ok, so we felt we were done asking for donations and thought we could slack for an hour before having to be back at the head quarters by eleven. it turned out, we lost our way and took one hour to get back. we took wrong buses and ended up having to walk a further distance. well, we did anway. while walking back, we met jiaxian, vincent and kwok J. then further down, we met peiyi, peixuan, and afew more bumbling fools. so yea, we walked back together. then binbin and i stopped at a really small 7-11 and got ourselves a big 1.5L of mineral water each after enduring the hot sun and putting up with being thirsty for about half an hour. it was well deserved. and most importantly, i not only quenched my own thirst, but others back at the head quarters too. (other than junhong because i refused.) LOL. slacked in the aircon room for quite some time before going home. =]

ok everyone! i just came back from debate and i am really tired. i was also glad to know i scored 25/30 for my english mid year compo. anyway, here are some things i did over the weekend and yes! as i promised, there'll be a picture of hao bing(oyster thing) LOL. on saturday, i was supposed to go make a new bank book and atm card. but well i woke up late, so yea. didnt make it. when i got up, my mum told me she wanted to bring me to an international buffet. we were deciding where to go and mum initiated pariss at marina square. i wasnt all that fussy, so yepp, we went. as usual the food there was perhaps just satisfactory and i didnt quite expect much from it. i was just hoping to indulge on the chocolate fondue but unfortunately, there wasnt any that day! the fondue area was replaced with some hot tea and soyamilk dispensers. oh well. i wasnt supposed to take pictures inside though, but i didnt care. secretly took it anyway. so after lunch, we went shopping. got really bored when mum pampered herself by taking her own sweet time. so you know what i like to do! i like to take pictures!! and so i did. took pictures of some stuff that caught my attention then.

whoa! i went to the singapore culinary academy and spice gardens at fort canning park along with the sec 5 fnn students today! well, let me tell you wad happened. ok since i havent handed in the edusave form for the outing, i was in a dilemma whether or not to go. so i gave mdm ashikin a call to ask if i could go in the first place. she told me i could over the phone and so i waited where we were all supposed to meet. i was starving as i haven't eaten the entire day since i skipped recess to watch a movie in class. as i was walking towards the canteen to grab a bite or something, mdm ashikin was walking towards me and of course my other friends. we told her that we havent eaten and needed to get something to at least fill our tummies or ease the hunger. she said ok. as i was walking back to the meeting venue from the canteen, junhong told me he decided to go as he initially didnt want to. so he asked me to follow him back to the canteen to get a sandwich. so, i followed. when we got back to the meeting venue, mdm ashikin started putting me down. she said i took things too easy and i always lied. i didnt say anything and just went ahead to board the bus. before i got up the bus, she said she wasnt quite sure if i could go hinting to me somehow that i shouldnt. i didnt give a damn really and just boarded the bus. i seriously think there's something wrong apart from the fact that she pregnant and have mood swings.

so, mdm ashikin and i didnt talk for the entire bus ride there. couldnt quite be bothered though. i was eating away and i didnt care wad she thought knowing i wasnt supposed to eat in the damn bus. hmm.. i was eating and eating when i realised that junhong who was sitting next to me was sleeping! so here! thats the way pigs nap..
so well, after a journey of about forty minutes, we made it. ok, so we got off the bus and i started taking photos again. i took a photo of the park's map and the big sign that stood before us before we walked into the academy's building. then mdm ashikin and i started talking, i don quite remember how it started but well it just did. so we were on talking terms again.
after all the turnings and climbing flights of stairs, we finally came to the work room!! it was gorgeous! i took a picture of it too! haha. oh and our first instructor of the day was nicknamed chef A. he's from thailand and he's really good at doing food carving. he thought us how to make a heart shaped flower out of a red chilli, rose from tomato skin and leaves from green apples after having introduced us to the appropriate knives and having told us the story behind food carving! had a fun time doing it though. didn't seem too tough for me, but well the rest were all complaining. i thought the hardest was making leaves out of the green apples! i still succeeded. junhong wasnt too clever with knives and accidentally cut himself in the midst of carving. he was cursing and swearing. boy! was he annoying. hahaha! jkjk.

so the carving part's done! then we were introduced to our next instructor who was from franceand has travelled the globe for his recognised talent in the food industry, fredrick. he's a pastry chef. i didnt quite understand what he was saying because of his very strong french accent. anyway, he thought us how to make french apple tart, which looks more like a pie! LOL. we had to slice apples and made sure they were 1mm thin! he sliced three apples with ease and took less than 2 minutes to get it all sliced and prepared. then he showed us how to make the pastry. its meant to be rough so we used to rubbing in method. had great fun doing it. huishan, junhong, alicia and myself seriously had fun.

whoo. after our pies were collected for baking, we had about ten minutes of free time. so here are afew pictures we took! its ok to be narcisscistic! haha. and yepp there were afew things we did in the name of fun and out of boredom as well. for example, the ''ma la ping guo tang''. which means some kinda soup. it definitely is not consumable and its freakin' disgusting. LOL.maids anyone? haha!

soon, we settled in for the final dish! roasted chicken served with basil oil mashed potatoes! whooo! each group was given a whole chicken and lots of herbs. i was rather used to meddling with raw stuff so i shuffed my hand into the chicken's body to take out the lungs/ liver. then we marinated it with all the minced ingredients we were given.labelled it, and left it to roast.
while waiting for the food to be ready, we had this sensory evaluation food tasting kinda thing. was really ccol. what really left an impact on me has got to be the fish sauce. it was very fishy. haha! it had this pungent odour as well! hmm after the activity, we had to clean up the work room. the food were ready for collection by the time we were done cleaning up. we had to collect our food group by group and couldnt start eating until everybody's gotten their share. it was really tempting! but i resisted. yayy! we had a wonderful dinner accompanied by the cool breeze and the trees. the whole experience was really fun yet educational! enjoyed it.

after dinner we thanked the staff and headed back to our bus. inside, i turned on the song ''nothing in this world'' by paris hilton. then mdm ashikin started making noise and talk about me lying. i purposely blast the music before switchin' it off. she told me i took things too easy. i knew she could understand elementary chinese. so i indirectly spoke in mix of english and mandarin saying that its not that i am taking things too easy, its just that shes being over sensitive and taking things too hard. i also said she was full of ''pattern'' ever since she got pregnant. then she shut up. we both didnt talk even after reaching school. it was already 7.50pm. so i went home.

Hi! my name is Cornelius Kennedy and i am 17 years of age this year. my birthday falls on the 13th of october and will be expecting presents and all of your attention. i am a christian and was baptised on the 5th of august along with some of my church members, from world revival prayer fellowship! :) currently, i am a secondary 5 student studying in nanchiau high school in the normal academic stream, class 5B and i am loving it. every one of my classmates' great! my cca, being english debates is also another reason why i love going to school. everyone from debate just makes my day and they're great great companions and friends. i love them and they know it. i used to be the team captain of my school's debating team but had to step down in order for me to focus on preparations for the upcoming major national exams . being plus-sized, i am not always accepted by everyone but i have learnt to live with it. thats life. personally, i love animals, culinary work and i am obsessed with fashion and alcohol. they make me happy! :D don forget to leave me a tag message before you leave! thanks and i love ya'll!
