got back my result slip today. came in 10th position in class. amanda chua told me that the show ratatouille was already screening in cinemas. i was super excited so merv and i went to plaza sing in hopes of watching that show although the official opening was on the 30th of this month. when we got there, we were told that ratatouille was screened as a sneak preview over the weekends and wasnt screening today. well, we were abit disappointed but settled in for secret anyway. i didnt quite think i would enjoy the show but since mervyn accompanied me to watch 881 the other time, i thought i should do him a favour by watching the show with him. actually, the show turned out so so so much better than i thought apart from the fact that jay chou not only mumbles when he sings, but also in the movie. still, i thought the movie was great. theres more movies for me to catch soon although its my N levels. here's the list: rush hour 3 881 secret hairspray ratatouille the invasion chuck and larry evan almighty no reservation

went to school early in the morning for some english mock exam thing organised my mdm yeo and gang. at first there were only 4 people present but yea, gradually more started to come in as time goes. during paper one, we learnt of mdm yeo's absence so all started to slack. for paper 2 some shit big shot idiot came and invigilated. i got pissed and didnt do the entire paper other than the cloze passage. merv too. after the mock exam nonsene, quite afew of us went to mac for brunch. then we headed our separate ways.

yay! went for jamming with kenneth, shanster, jiaxian and aaron yesterday! [well, actually i didnt jam. they did. i just camwhored!] anw, i bet they had fun and were lucky cos they didnt have to pay for the two hours of deafening music in the confined room since someone offered to pay if he could just take a footage of them being an airband, and better still, having a chance to win 2000 bucks! then after all that jamming at potong pasir, we were off the hougang plaza for pool again! i am hooked on it ever since i started playing recently, and i bet huishan too. by the time i got home last night, it was about 9.45pm.
today, i actually didnt want to go to school since the weather was really good for sleeping in the morning. it was raining and cooling so my bed therefore seemed more luring than ever! still, i got myself out of bed with help from my mum, and went to school. crapped around and went for a movie with mervyn at angmokio hub! watched 881. honestly, it wasnt as good as i thought it would be. i don think mervyn quite understood the show since it was in hokkien two thirds of the time. the english subtitles weren't exactly accurate and wont seem as funny as when you understand hokkien. the last part was really sad though, i actually teared and i could tell many more did since i saw many faces all red and eyes all swollen when the movie was over. obviously, mervyn didnt quite get the kick of the show so he didnt feel anything. LOL. by the time the show was over, our mathematics night class had started! so we chionged back to school in a cab. in school, i helped olive and huiping with their mathematics. then, i got bored and went home when time was up. hmmmm.. still looking forward to joody jiao dong!!!

last night, i went with kenneth, vincent, jiaxian, desmond, shanster, huiyu, luting, xueyan and angie to marina bay. our intention was to watch the fireworks display that would turn the night sky into an art canvas at around 9plus pm. i didnt bring much money because i didnt want to eat dinner but everyone was nice enough to chip in a little so that i can sit in with them while having steamboat although i may not be eating. it was $13 per person by the way. everyone ended up paying $15 i think. wow! i'm touched! even the drinks were on the house! everyone had so much fun eating, talking and camwhoring. haha! after we finished dinner, we had ice cream other wise known as the traditional potong ice sticks.

so dinner was over and done with. then we walked over to the open field where not surprisingly many people were standing/sitting around anticipating the fireworks. kenneth used his phone to listen to the radio because he watched it the night before and say that classical music will be played followed by an announcement. then we all waited and finally BOOM! the display was on its way. simply gorgeous. havent watched a fireworks display before my very eyes since primary 5 other than those i see on TV. many people where going whoa whoo, whatever, and were clapping. it really was spectacular. here are afew of the many photos taken.
after getting our footwear dirty by standing in the mud while watching the display, we went to the arcade and chilled for awhile. shanster sure was good at playing the daytona game,. she finished 1st place for the two times she went against kenneth, desmond and vincent. then we all decided to go play pool at hougang plaza so we took a bus back from where we were from to marina bay mrt station and travelled all the way to hougang. then i got afew kind people to help us take afew group shots.

when we got out of the station, we started to spilt up. huiyu. luting and xueyan left first since huiyu's brother offered to send them home. later, jiaxian was worried he wouldnt be able to make it back to the station to catch the last train, so he left. all the were still around at that time were myself, shanster, angie, kenneth, desmond and vincent. still, we played pool! was great fun and there were many "jackpots" and winners of "BIG" prizes. ahahaha! when our hour was up, i shared a cab with shanster angie and desmond. thank goodness i had enough cash for the cab fare otherwise i would have been left walking home!

seriously, i hope to do well in my prelims. yet, many people might say that its not important especiallyjunhong, being such a pessimist and a walking source of discouragement! i think that preliminary examinations are great stepping stones before major ones to keep you aware of your own potential and capability provided you work for it. apparently many don see the importance and just loathe studying, slacking their lives away asking inane questions every now and then. i admit i slack la! its just that i think i have come to my senses and know my limits!i have beenstudying alright and honestly, sitting down for an hour and a half to just mug is really something i can be proud of given that i usually fall asleep while doing so. still i don know if its enough.
bad news came after i finished my combined humanities paper today. someone told us that only 7 out of 34 people in my class passed english! madness! ahaha although i am more than confident that my command of the english language secured myself a pass at the very least. come to think of it, i thought the english papers were rather alright. hey, i am not saying those who failed were bumbling idiots in that matter, maybe its just because the markers were strict. anyway i hope the new fnn teacher would be approachable since mdm ashikin hasnt been in school for 2-3 weeks because of some confidential reasons, and the fnn prelims are just 2 days away. yes, i really need help with that subject and i will not be surprised if almost all the fnn students start mobbing around him.

its been 2 days since the prelims and i think that both my english and chinese papers should have secured at the very least, a pass. school ended early today and i walked to compass point with huishan and jayna. shopped in metro, comics connection, G2000 and the valu$ shop! i enjoyed my massage on a uPapa in metro along with jayna then went to G2000 to look at clothes. i want the white blazer that i saw!! if i remember correctly, it was only about 40 odd bucks, which is very affordable!
is that blazergorgeous or what?!

after shopping around, i went back to school to watch the sec 3 inter class debate and apparently 3I will be facing off with 3G in the finals given a motion that reads, THBT global warming demands immediate global action. i am looking forward to a stylish finish to this series in 2007. then i idled in the D&T room after the debate where kenneth yap, ah moon and kelly sure made me laugh especially ah moon's whining. aha! at about 4pm, we went to the canteen and waited for ms hani since we had chemistry night class and i stayed until the session was over, which already was about 8pm. i must say, the night lesson served useful! got home, took a bath, had a quality chat with my debate juniors on the phone and here i am blogging! making cheesecake tomorrow! whooo!!

whooooooo! i got baptised today at east coast beach along with actro, francesca, shawn, gabriel, claudia, aliceand more from the adult, youth, children's and deaf fellowship! i feel great and i had the time of my life today! i knew i had to mean business with God, it was a powerful yet unforgettable encounter with the Holy spirit! uncle mark and senior pastor kenny chee baptised me and i had to declare that i believed in Jesus, that he would wash away my sins, set me free and give me eternal life.
